Qigong Instruction and Healing
Qi (pronounced "chee") is the life force energy of the body which is responsible for our health and well being. Gong translates as work or practice. So, Qigong is the practice of accumulating life force (you can think of Qi as oxygen if you prefer a Western term). This is done through physical exercises, visualization and meditation, and breathing techniques.
Qigong is widely practiced in China and beginning to take hold in the U.S. and other countries. Like Acupuncture and Herbal Therapy, it has been around and effective for thousands of years. Soon after you begin a regular practice, you will begin to feel the health benefits. It can be used to treat specific ailments and/or improve general health. It can be done sitting or standing and it is good for all age groups.
